Current Residents

Bonded

Palliative Care ferrets are typically long term residents of the rescue with advanced medical conditions, such as insulinoma and adrenal disease. They are placed in foster homes that have received special training to manage their conditions. Donations to VI FERT help cover their ongoing medical and end of life care needs.

Bonded ferrets have strong personal, social and emotional ties to each other. As a rule, VI FERT does not separate bonded pairs or groups of ferrets; doing so would cause needless stress upon the pair.
