Wow has the first six months of 2026 been busy! Not only did we work on our transition from Vancouver Island Ferret Rescue to become the BC Ferret Rescue, a huge undertaking by itself, but we also:

  • Completed 14 different events in communities all over BC, From Victoria to Comox to North Vancouver, including our FIRST time attending the FERRET FROLIC hosted by Urban Safari Rescue Society.

  • Found homes for 26 ferrets! Congratulations to: Nine, North, Oakley, Toby, Finnali, Phoenix, Lucy, Ethel, Baliff, Crumble, Nick, Noel, Holly, Twix, Skittles, Luna, Poppy, Aspen, Birch, Marshmellow, Crash, Norman, Poppy, Basil, Saffron and Sweetie!

  • Driven somewhere in the neighbourhood of 8,000 kilometres in order to pick up and drop off ferrets all over BC.

  • Expanded our ferret network to five new Bosley's locations as well as the BC Wildlife Park.

  • Launched a massively successful social media campaign known as "Toothy Tuesday" and "Dear Stella."

It's been a GREAT start to 2026; so lets see what exciting things the last half of 2026 will hold!
